1947: Nissan TAMA marks our first EV

Back in 1947, Nissan developed the TAMA, our first-ever EV. A compact four-door followed two years later.

2000: Hypermini revealed in Montreal
After decades of EV innovation, Nissan unveiled the Hypermini at the Montreal Autoshow.
Soon after, drivers in Japan were able to take this ultra-compact commuter EV on the road, with a top speed of 100kph and up to 115km of range.
2010: LEAF becomes first mass-market EV
